1 Midrange per cabinet.
Drivers were pulled from a pair of Braun L-710 loudspeakers. These 8ohm midranges feature HUGE (approx 5lb) magnets and robust aluminum mounting plates. I think the tape is there incidentally. It doesn't appear to be covering anything.
Here's a pair of 4.5" midrange driver speakers from a pair of JVC SX-A5 3-way plus speakers. These are part HSD3305-01A with DCR readings of 5.9 and 6.2. NOTE: ONE SOUNDS GREAT WHILE THE OTHER HAS NOTABLE DISTORTION. you'll receive as shown.
